Seldom is designed to work without an account, advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Data collection

Seldom does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and has no account system.

Information stored on your iPhone

Your chosen essential apps and websites, setup state, schedules, session preferences, mantra, and protected-time history are stored locally on your device. The mantra and blocking state are shared only between Seldom and its extensions using Apple’s private App Group storage.

Protected-time history

Seldom keeps up to 90 days of local history for Quiet Mode sessions started in the app. It records protected time, deliberate breaks, and sessions ended early so it can show your graph, total, streak, and interruptions. This history never leaves your iPhone and does not monitor every time you look at the screen.

Screen Time selections

Apple’s Screen Time framework provides Seldom with privacy-preserving selection tokens. Seldom cannot read what you type, view, or do inside another app. It does not receive the names of your selected apps as ordinary text.

Permissions

Screen Time access is used only to apply and remove Seldom’s blocking screen and to run sessions or schedules you create. Seldom does not use Screen Time access for advertising, profiling, or remote monitoring. You can revoke access in iPhone Settings at any time.

Notification and appearance settings

Seldom does not access or change another app’s notification preferences. Optional Apple Focus and grayscale settings remain under your control in iPhone Settings.

Retention and deletion

Local preferences and protected-time history remain on your device until you change them or delete Seldom. History older than 90 days is removed automatically. Deleting the app removes its local information. You can separately revoke Screen Time access under Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access.

Changes to this policy

If Seldom’s data practices change, this page and its last-updated date will be revised before the change is released.
